Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico, Spanish for rich port, is a U.S. territory in the Caribbean consisting of mountains, waterfalls, and the El Yunque rainforest. It is only 100 miles long by 35 miles wide, making it the smallest island of the Greater Antilles. Puerto Rico holds roughly 3.2 million residents, and San Juan, the capital and most populated city in Puerto Rico is where the highest amount of them reside. Puerto Rico has a tropical climate with little seasonal variation. It is hot, humid, and experiences a great amount of rainfall. The population is ethnically mixed because of centuries of immigration and cultural assimilation. Both Spanish and English are spoken there, but predominantly Spanish.
